I went to "Lesson Activity Toolbar". This is an addedfeature on your smartboard in notebook. you open then go to galley tabs. In there you will see activity tabs. This is broken down into . . . category sort key word match multiple choice text reveal word games There are also graphics and help feedback. It provides colored pages to add in your notebook and tools with helps. vf
These lessons are built by other teachers or smart technology users. The basic idea is to help teachers use interactive tools on topics which they already teach. They are created by using smart notebook files and allow for manipulation. Some that I saw I might use would be the difference between animal cells and plant cells; and one about the pythagorean theorem.
All of the major content areas are covered (math, science, history, english).
It is a fun way to get the students actively involved and still allows you to have a evening off :)
Notebook software lesson activities... REALLY cool! This allows you to view the content standards and performance indicators for Maine. Based on the ct and pi, you can choose activities for your grade level/subject area. Click on the activities link and you will be directed to smartboard activities that are already made.
MC I have noticed that each of these areas have premade, ready to use lessons and/or graphics. What I like best is that these things can be tweeked to fit our needs VF
The Teacher's Hub is very informative for first time SmartBoard users. This part of the link includes features that will help a new teacher understand how to use the technology at a level where you can implement it into the classroom on a consistent basis. Within the website there are online training sessions that teachers can learn from a SmartBoard analyst as well as PowerPoint tutorials, and how to save and search the web using interactive activities. By understanding the basics, we the teachers can then proceed forward after we have becomecomfortable with the new ideas. Take it easy. Luke Hartwell
A wide-ranging collection of interactive lessons, based in Notebook. Teacher may modify lesson to suit classroom needs. K-12 and many topics represented. Frank
I checked out the 2nd star, which I now forget the name of.....these resources need Inspiration to use them, or Smart Ideas.....
Smart Ideas Software Activities.
We will need Wendy to download "SmartIdeas" To do this she needs the serial no. off the "chalktray on the SmtBd. You will be sent a "key" to use for Smart Ideas.
The activities I showed you in class were about "Plot" and logic problems.
Having been in the regular classroom for 22 years, I appreciate the complexities of teaching today. For the last three years I have been a Certified eMINTS Trainer/Mentor and my job is to coach teachers in using inquiry-based teaching in a technology-rich environment. Working with 19 different school districts is a challenging job, but one I look forward to every day.

To Sum Up,
It seemed like most of these all had one big universal idea. We as teachers do not have to re-invent the wheel.
They all also allow us to make our classrooms more exciting and hands on without really having to spend a lot of time being "creative".
Moreover, I think that these sites we looked at are just great tools and will enhance the learning of our students and the teachers too...
HAVE A GOOD TURKEY DAY BREAK
